I used to present each pair of earrings in its own jewelry box — a small way to honour the time and care that went into every piece I made. But over time, it began to feel a little wasteful, especially when several pairs were ordered together. I often imagined the boxes eventually being set aside or thrown away, much like the beautiful mooncake boxes that are admired for a moment and then forgotten.

Some of my customers felt the same and began asking for less packaging. It was something I had quietly been thinking about too. After all, the jewelry doesn’t really need the protection of an individual box — each piece is already well-secured with packing paper and a sturdy carton box during delivery.
So, I decided to let go of the boxes and move towards something simpler and more lasting. Now, each piece is placed in a soft cotton drawstring bag — a gentle, reusable home for the jewelry. They also take up far less space, which makes them easier to keep and more likely to be used again.

For those who wish to send the jewelry as a gift, I’ve made the box an optional part of the gift wrapping — added only when it’s truly needed.

Whether you keep your pieces in the cotton bag or find another use for it, I hope it continues to carry a little of the care and thought that goes into everything I make.
